Path of Centering Prayer

About Me:
Welcome! It is my great honor to introduce to you some of the work that I do and tell you a little bit about myself. I began meditating in 1978 and has spent about half my time in the last 25 years in retreat and contemplative practice. Although much of this has been in solitude, it has also always been encircled by a community of spiritual friends. Fr. Thomas Keating is my “Abba,” or Spiritual Father, a relationship in the Christian contemplative tradition that includes friendship, mentoring and spiritual generativity. I have taught Centering Prayer under Fr. Keating’s guidance since 1984 and lived for 11 years in a contemplative retreat center under his auspices.
I have worked and taught for 23 years within Fr. Keating’s organization, Contemplative Outreach, including as a trainer for long-term practitioners and as a member of its Board of Trustees and Faculty. I am a Certified Addictions Counselor and has an M.A. in Counseling Psychology. I am an Adjunct Faculty in the Religious Studies Department at Naropa University and have been involved with Ken Wilber’s Integral Institute and Integral Contemplative Christianity since their inception.
Drawing on my experiential background and professional training, I offer Contemplative Spiritual Direction. I also teach on Incarnational Contemplation and Centering Prayer at the organizations and venues in Colorado.
